Bio - Jennifer Chandler, PA
How many years have you been practicing and where did you graduate from?
I graduated from the South University in Savannah, PA program in 2014 and have practiced mostly psychiatry, but I did do a little bit of time in family medicine.
What do you enjoy most about serving Appalachian Mountain Health patients here in Western NC?
Well, I like all of my patients - they’re all super sweet! I think getting to come in and take care of patients in our community is really helpful and important.
What is your approach to patient care?
It’s using active listening skills and practicing evidence-based medicine to treat disease and improve quality of life.
What is one piece of health advice you find challenging to follow yourself?
Exercise. Honestly, just getting time to go to the gym is so hard, but going on walks can help offset that a little bit.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
A sushi restaurant named Maguru in Asheville.

Video games (PC and Xbox) and gardening
