How many years have you been practicing and where did you graduate from?

I earned my Master of Social Work from Western Carolina University in 2020. I’ve worked in social work for over a decade in a variety of roles serving diverse populations.

What do you enjoy most about serving Appalachian Mountain Health patients here in Western NC?

I love the collaborative, team-based approach to care and the opportunity to serve people from all walks of life in our Western North Carolina community.

What is your approach to patient care?

My approach is relational and person-centered. I focus on building trust and creating a space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

What is one piece of health advice you find challenging to follow yourself?

Making time for daily movement. I know how important it is for mental and physical health—sometimes I just have to remind myself to practice what I preach.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

One favorite is Jerusalem Garden Cafe—great food and a welcoming atmosphere.

I enjoy reading and watching Viking-themed shows and films
