Bio - Dr. Ellores Brailey, MD

What do you enjoy most about serving Appalachian Mountain Health patients here in Western NC?

North Carolina is my second home and I feel that we’re able to give our patients good service in places that don’t necessarily have medical care available through other agencies.

What is your approach to patient care?

Everybody is an individual. Don’t believe everything you read, and Chat GPT. I like to talk with patients first, before we do any type of examination. Talk and see what’s going on in their life and get a quick medical history. I really like my patients and I encourage them to ask questions. You know, patients need to be informed and take part in their health care so they aren’t expecting providers to do everything for them.

What is one piece of health advice you find challenging to follow yourself?

It’s hard to make sure you drink enough water!

What is your favorite local restaurant?

The Farmer’s Market - Where you can find fresh food.

Do you have any special interests?

Infertility and Women’s health.

What languages are you fluent in?

English.
