How many years have you been practicing and where did you graduate from?

I have been an RN since 2008, but more recently I started my practice as an FNP in 2023. I graduated from Western Carolina University

What do you enjoy most about serving Appalachian Mountain Health patients here in Western NC?

I enjoy being able to help members of my community that often face struggles to accessing healthcare.

What is your approach to patient care?

I encourage my patients to be active in their care. I can make recommendations about caring for themselves, but ultimately the choice is theirs.

What is one piece of health advice you find challenging to follow yourself?

It's important to practice self-care. Pouring from an empty cup is challenging, so we do need to make sure we take care of ourselves so we can effectively care for our patients and loved ones.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

Nocturnal Brewing Company in Hayesville NC.

Do you have any special interests?

I enjoy camping, fishing and traveling as much as possible with my family.
