Dr. Brianna Gill, DMD
How many years have you been practicing and where did you graduate from?
I graduated from Florida State University for my undergraduate in 2020 and from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry for dental school in 2024. I have been practicing for one year.
What do you enjoy most about serving Appalachian Mountain Health patients here in Western NC?
I love the diversity of our patient population. Each patient has a unique life experience that has brought them into our dental chair, so getting to know them while we complete treatment is an important part of patient care to me. Learning of their previous hardships to find care - whether it be because of insurance or past negative dental experiences - makes the care that we provide that much more impactful.
What is your approach to patient care?
My mission is to deliver patient education and personalized, effective dental treatments that improve my patients' overall health and confidence, developing lasting relationships built on trust and respect. Wherever a patient is on their dental health journey, I hope to help them attain a smile they want to share. I want to help patients release any shame they may feel around their dental conditions or fear from past experiences so that they can break free from the cycle of neglect, avoidance, and pain.
What is one piece of health advice you find challenging to follow yourself?
Getting my steps in throughout the week. I love to crash on the couch after work, but going for that evening walk is definitely a better idea…
What is your favorite local restaurant?
Chai Pani! And Farewell for my mid-day coffee.
Do you have any special interests?
I love listening to live music. Whether it be jazz at a café, jam bands at Asheville Yards, or EDM at music festivals, I always find a way to listen and dance! I also love spending time outside and traveling.
What languages are you fluent in?
English.
