Bio - Ashley Crowder, NP
How many years have you been practicing and where did you graduate from?
I have been a nurse practitioner since 2019. I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
What do you enjoy most about serving Appalachian Mountain Health patients here in Western NC?
I enjoy being able to find resources and help patients that would typically fall through the cracks; I also really enjoy taking care of intellectually disabled adults in our community. My son has autism so it is very close to my heart.
What is your approach to patient care?
I try to listen to what my patients are saying and be supportive - you learn a lot more from listening than talking.
What is one piece of health advice you find challenging to follow yourself?
I have a hard time with this - make time and take care of yourself; you can’t pour from an empty cup.

I love my family! My husband Ryan and our seven children. I also enjoy reading, I love animals, and enjoy being outside.
